CAM Is... Christian Arts Ministries is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and presenting high quality theatrical and musical productions that communicate biblical truth, share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and inspire people to biblical living. To date, CAM has presented two original productions, Born of a Virgin, (Christmas 2008 and 2009) and Favored Nation (June 2009 and 2010), a musical based on the words of our Founding Fathers. In the fall of 2009, CAMJAM 09 was presented, a night of comedy and music featuring Bill Arnold, Michael Pearce Donley and friends. Almost 4,000 people viewed CAM productions in 2009 and audience members were moved by the creative presentations and powerful performances. Executive Director Ken Parker, who writes, orchestrates and directs the performances, works with a host of volunteers who make up the choirs, act and lead in technical areas. Executive Director's Blog Recently we presented “Favored Nation,” the musical production I wrote after long study of our forefathers who gave us our Constitution, our country, and our way of life. Your Help Is Needed Favored Nation was presented to large audiences at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center on June 11 and 12. The audience was our most responsive for any production, interrupting the show with cheers and applause many times. Excited audience members told us we needed to take the production to Washington D.C. and several expressed that we needed to take the production, which documents the founding father's belief that God led them in founding America, to high schools and colleges all around the area. The leadership of Christian Arts Ministries is aware that we have, in Favored Nation, a powerful musical production that can be powerfully used by God to call America back to Him. We are praying about what God has in store for the future of Favored Nation and we are looking for any opportunities that He may present. Since ticket revenues do not cover the full cost of the production, any future showings (there is some thought of trying to bring it back in the fall) would require the support of generous donors.
